For a short period of time a lime plant for baking lime worked in Demir Kapija. It started operating in 1948, after the suspension of Demir Kapija as a municipal center, and in 1956 it stopped working. The building is interesting for tourists, but since it is not functioning for more than 50 years, it is necessary to make its conservation and restoration.
